As required by the RARS Bylaws, the offices of President and Secretary, two-year terms, and all Board of Directors positions, one year terms, will be up for election this year. The offices of Vice-President and Treasurer, also two year terms of office, are now in mid-term and will not be up for election until next year. The Nominations Committee will report to the membership during the October, 1999 Genreal Meeting. Further nominations, if any, will be taken from the floor, prior to the election. The Election of Officers is scheduled for the November General Meeting.
The Year 2000 nominations committee has been appointed and is made up of Lynn Pitegoff, KO4QH, Tim Nicholson, KF4RTX, and Chuck Littlewood, K4HF. (Phone numbers available on the RARS Contacts page.) If you are interested in any positions, or would like to nominate someone for a position, please contact a member of the Nominations Committee.Candidates for Officers and Board Members must have been Full RARS Members for one year prior to taking office. The Committee will report to the membership at the October 1999 Regular Meeting. Attending RARS Board Meetings would be a good way to learn about the "business" of the club and meet the folks currently doing the job.
N0WP, KD4ACW Nominated for Field Day, Hamfest Chairs
Election to be held at September General MeetingThe RARS Nominating Committee is recommending Bill Pond N0WP for the position of Field Day Chair, and Cyndi Pearce KD4ACW for Hamfest Chair for 2000. Both Bill and Cyndi currently hold those positions, and have volunteered to take them again next year. The election for these two jobs will be held at the September RARS meeting.
