DXCC

DXCC

DXCC (DX Century Club) is one of the most prestigious awards in amateur radio. It involves making confirmed contacts with at least 100 different geographic entities around the world, known as DX entities.

The DXCC program is highly popular among amateur radio operators who enjoy the challenge of contacting as many different countries and territories as possible, often requiring skillful operating, good propagation, and patience.

DXCC Details

  1. Award Requirements: The DXCC award requires making confirmed contacts with 100 unique DX entities, which can be countries or certain territories. Hams often strive for higher levels of the award, such as DXCC Honor Roll, by making additional contacts. Learn more about DXCC Award Requirements.

  2. QSL Cards and Logbook of the World (LoTW): To achieve DXCC, operators must verify their contacts through QSL cards or ARRL's Logbook of the World (LoTW). LoTW is an online system for electronically verifying contacts, making the process easier and more efficient. Find details on QSL Cards and LoTW.

  3. DXpeditions: DXpeditions are organized trips by amateur radio operators to rare or remote DX entities. These trips provide opportunities for other operators to make contacts with entities that are otherwise difficult to reach. Read more about DXpeditions.

  4. DX Clusters: DX Clusters are online networks where operators share real-time information about DX stations that are currently active. These clusters help operators quickly find and make contacts with rare DX entities. Discover more about DX Clusters.
