SOTA

Summits on the Air (SOTA) is an activity where amateur radio operators activate designated mountain summits, combining the challenges of portable radio operation with hiking and outdoor adventure.

SOTA encourages operators to operate from remote locations, providing a unique operating experience and fostering a sense of achievement.

Activators climb summits and set up their stations, while chasers contact them from home or mobile stations.
