Dinners are an important social aspect of the amateur radio community, providing opportunities for operators to meet in person, share stories, and build stronger relationships.
Whether organized by local radio clubs or informal gatherings among friends, dinners help foster a sense of camaraderie among hams and offer a chance to discuss projects, equipment, and experiences in a relaxed setting.
Amateur radio operators are also known as "hams." The origin of the term is unclear, but even though it is not capitalized, many of us believe it stands for "have another meal."
Dinners are local events. Organize a lunch or dinner in your area and you too can enjoy the camraderie.
All members and guests are welcome to attend the monthly RARS Dinner, now on the on the THIRD Tuesday of each month. Informal and Dutch, just bring your appetite and best rag to chew.
IHOP is on the corner of Sawmill and Six Forks Roads. After entering the restaurant, look for our folks in the dining room. For more information about the RARS Dinner, please contact Chuck Littlewood K4HF.
