Every club depends heavily on their volunteers. Without them, nothing gets done. Nobody gets paid for their service because volunteers give their time and efforts to reflect their passion for the hobby.
After COVID, it became widely known that volunteer participation in any club has decreased. The fewer people that help in a club, the fewer programs and events can be offered.
Please consider volunteering at your local club.
When it comes to participating, our policy is "Local first". Find the radio club that is nearest to you and participate with them.
If there is none or the programs of a larger club are more appealing to you, help out with that club.
As of October 2024, RARS has 450 members. Most don't live in Raleigh, but enjoy the programs and services. Of those, about 25 actively volunteer on a regular basis. Please help keep your club going!
