The weather was perfect on Saturday morning, as 121 bikes left Five-County
Stadium near Zebulon for the 180 mile, two day trek to Manteo. This
was the first year for this version of the Tour de Cure, which raised more
than $40,000 for Diabetes treatment and research.
(Before the day was done, one of these riders in green shirts would
end up in the hospital with a broken arm.)
